All eyes are on Cadre Scott, an emerging singer-songwriter with her debut single, “Special Kinda Love.” Her imagination, paired with her gifts as a vocalist and songwriter, forms the alchemical ingredients she channels into her music and budding entertainment career. In our recent interview with Cadre Scott, she shared her history, inspirations, and hints of what’s yet to come.

Hailing from Long Beach, CA, Cadre Scott brings a nostalgic Folk Rock Americana sound laced with a touch of rhythm and blues. Drawing inspiration from artists like Linda Ronstadt, Stevie Nicks, and Carole King, her dreamy lyricism and melodic vocals transport listeners back to the flower-power days of the 1960s and 1970s.

Cadre completed a year studying jazz vocals in the applied music program at Santa Monica College in 2020–2021. In the fall of 2021, she decided to pursue music full-time while working for the international surf company RipCurl. She has since produced her first EP, Fork in the Road, and album, Living. Loving. Growing. In addition, Cadre completed a Southern California tour in late 2021 and early 2022. In 2023, she released two singles, “River” and “Field of Flowers,” produced in Nashville, TN. She is currently writing her next EP.

Cadre Scott performs live up and down the coast of California at venues such as The Trip in Santa Monica, The Holding Company in Ocean Beach, The Tiki Bar in Costa Mesa, Marina Wine Bar, Santa Monica Farmers Market, Maui Pho, and The Viper Room in Hollywood. She has also been featured at local singer-songwriter events and collaborates with other musicians for upcoming shows in the summer of 2025. In 2023, Cadre began singing and co-creating wellness pop-ups with ‘She’ and other artists. She continues to perform at public and private venues, including Southern California farmers markets, and is currently planning summer and fall shows.
